Mostly Golf followers ask one same question and that is “Does Golf Champions Received a Trophy?” Well the answer is Yes. The Champion Golfers are awarded by series of Trophies and Awards. However the distribution of Awards and Trophies are made on the behalf of Individual Performances.

Among the others, Green Jacket is considered as the Highest Award Given to Champion of Master Golf. The famous Green Jacket is awarded to the Overall Winner of Master Golf along with Sterling Replica Masters Trophy and Gold Medal.

The traditional Green Jacket was 1st awarded in the US Masters back in 1949. However before this, winners were awarded by Gold Medals Only. The permanent Maters Trophy which represents the Club House was 1st introduced in 1961. Green Jacket is considered as the most Honorary Award in Masters Golf. The winner of Green Jacket use to wear this during all Golf events.

The Master Trophy is made up of 900 separate pieces of Silver. The name of Winner and Runner-Up are engraved on this trophy. The original Masters Trophy remains at Club and Winners walk away with Replica of Masters Trophy along with Green Jacket and Gold Medal. The Gold Medal received by Champion weighs 2.3 ounces and the view of the Founders Circle in the front of the Clubhouse is printed on this medal.

The Runner-up of Master Golf is awarded by Silver Medal and Silver Salver. However the name of Runner-up is engraved on the Masters Trophy. The 1st ever Runner-up medal was awarded in 1951 and the size of this medal is equal to the size and weight of Gold Medal.

In earlier years of Master Golf, only few Trophies were awarded. But with the passage of time US Masters has expanded their Hall of Trophies and different awards on the behalf of individual rounds and holes were given to the participants.

Other Awards and Trophies included in Masters Golf are Low Amateur, Silver Cup, Hole-In-One, Eagle and Double Eagle awards. Low Amateur, Sliver Cup was 1st given in 1952 and the receiver of this award must make the 36 hole cut.

In 1954, some other awards like Day’s Low Score, Hole in One and Eagle were given to the participants as additional awards. All these awards were given on the behalf of outstanding performances during the tournament.

Ken Venturi is the only Golfer in the history who won the Most Trophies in single Masters. In 1956, Ken had won the Runner-up Award along with Low Amateur, Day’s Low Score and Two Eagle Awards during the whole tournament.

The permanent Masters Trophy, which depicts the Clubhouse, was introduced in 1961. It was made in England and consists of over 900 separate pieces of silver. The trophy rests on a pedestal, and bands of silver provide space to engrave the name of the winner and runner-up. In 1993, a Sterling replica of the permanent Masters trophy was first awarded to the champion, along with the Gold Medal.

In 1952, the Masters began presenting the low amateur with an award for his performance. In order to receive the award, the amateur must make the 36-hole cut.

Double Eagle

During the first round of the 1967 Tournament, Bruce Devlin made a double eagle on hole No. 8. This was the first double eagle since Gene Sarazen’s on No. 15 in 1935. Clifford Roberts announced that a special trophy was ordered for Devlin, a large crystal bowl, but one would first be delivered to Gene Sarazen.
